we bought this for our daughter's first "big bed for girls" and are very happy with it. After reading other reviews about the stitching holding the top and bottom panels of the duvet together and unraveling in the wash I was a little weary but this was the only quilting pattern my daughter wanted. And since I sew quilts I know how to add piping to the edges of quilts so I figured if undoing it like others have said I could just add my own piping. Washed once, the seams haven't come undone yet. If/when that happens I'll update this post to reflect that. So far we are very happy with it and I'm even a bit jealous of how soft the fabric of this blanket is! Much better than the ones on my bed. It really helped increase my daughter's excitement of being in her own large women's bed and my excitement of actually staying in her bed all night (knock on wood).
