This can opener works very well. It expands to accommodate larger glasses. The metal clips tighten as you rotate the top/handle. It needs a bit of twisting, but it's still a little easier than trying to pry the lid open with a butter knife. I was surprised it worked. It doesn't look like it just came out of the box. EDIT ---- I've had this for a while (4 months). It worked like a dream! Great for plastic spins on lids (depending on the shape of the plastic lid - but so far it works for everyone!). Now that I know how it works, it's easy, fast, and requires very little effort. I LOVE it and will buy it for friends!
