Bought these for "Transparency" mode or what would be the active pass featured here in Situational Awareness or Ambient. PROS - As standard Bluetooth headphones, they have good, average sound quality (not high-fidelity [source limited] but no obvious flaws), fit well, look but feel bulky (I have a small ear canal, but a relatively average ear size) ) Battery works as advertised - Recharge is the best versatility on the market, wireless works great and its backup is the new mobile standard (USB-C). go through -3 stars, amplifies all wrong frequencies and is insensitive to the right ones. I work in a clean room that is noisy, but not loud enough for OSHA to require hearing protection. Those nasty air purifier/purifier background noises to the point where I could barely hear anyone talking to me as the buds picked up their voice (which was only about 30-40% of the time and was constantly cutting out while they were talking ) and not at all when it isn't (but I've heard her pen or wrench drop from 3 to 8 feet away). other people's voice 100% of the time [and 9 out of 10 will amplify it to 105-120% of expected volume] while other annoying high frequency noise is filtered out or reduced.
