I looked over everything, went through the directions and, being a "tricky person", I figured the colors were standard acrylic craft paints. So I just dressed my little artist in play clothes, packed some extra brushes, paper towels and water. She has paint on the table. It won't come off. I ended up using a sanding block and butcher paste to fix it up. Not good. And now we come to the filming: the images are small and there are only two different scenes, a koala and turtles. You will get one already in color so just do the dots and the other one with line art including where to place the dots. The paper is a bit flimsy and Farber-Castell should have known that as they included a small sachet of sticky putty so you can secure the corners of your painting as you paint. The colors are very thick giving you nice raised dots but to paint the area you will need a palette or an old saucer so you can thin some of the paint with water for a light coverage. Don't underestimate the time it takes either. Coloring takes a lot of time. I found it relaxing, but my art partner got bored and left before her painting was even half done. We'll move it to another day. You also get two glossy colored paper frames to display your finished project. There aren't many of these, I don't think most people would want to use them, but that's what makes the set so special. Great color, fun scenes, overall I give this one four stars and recommend it for all ages. Try this fascinating aboriginal dot painting technique.
