Edited review: After a month all the composite material around the joint on the square part that connects to the ground broke. It was never too strong and then it broke. Cats use it as a scratching post, but it doesn't work like perch. For me, the materials in which the device connects to the base are very cheap and easy to understand for the cost of this item. I won't buy it again, now it's in the trash. Looks like it's just me, but mine isn't strong at all. In fact, it's completely wobbly no matter how hard I try to make sure everything is secure. My cats still love it, but it wobbles every time they jump up - the two sisal poles don't fit together very well. I might recreate it sometime, but given the price, which is exceptionally high for a product compared to other options, I'd be wary. At the same time I bought a larger scratching post for almost a penny and it's wonderful - strong and the cats love it.
