Drove 150ft, used 8/2w external ground wire. The measured output voltage after connection was 119.7 V. The processed 8/2 wire was simply wrapped several times with insulating tape to make it fit better. We've been to campgrounds where we learned they used 10/2 and extended 250 feet out of the box and used a garden hose for underground water. Had low voltage problems on 3 RV's including mine and burned out the hot side of the 30 amp wire on all 3 RV's. The camper next to me had to call the fire brigade, the caravan burned down.
