These bags work great for most things and I will continue to use them for everyday storage to save on plastic. Mainly for storing tools, miniatures, travel clothes or similar. They are perfectly sealed, do not break and are reusable. They also work great in the freezer. As far as colic goes, these things are a laundry nightmare. I've cleaned them for over 20 minutes to get rid of the fish/meat smell and it won't go away. I think it's physically impossible to stain things like spaghetti sauce forever. For storing food (liquids, fish, meat, sauces, etc.) I would advise against it. The effort involved in cleaning these bags outweighs the pros in my opinion. They don't wash easily, you can't use the dishwasher or they'll get ruined (I tested one to see what it does). So unless you want to spend 30-40 minutes washing and brushing these things after each use to make sure they're clean, I'd just stay away from them. However, they are perfect for storing things like snacks, sandwiches and fruit in your lunch bag throughout the day as they don't require deep cleaning and can be rinsed and washed in about a minute. So you can easily reduce your daily plastic consumption for these needs. So, tldr: these bags are great for most things but terrible for others. I will continue to use them for everyday storage and everyday use of packed lunches.
