Wow. Only when you have fans right next to each other can you really hear the difference. For sidewall cooling I used a standard 200mm Cooler Master fan, then 4 120mm Corsair AF Quite Edition fans and now 4 Noctua NF-S12A fans. I have to say that the Noctua NF-S12A is quieter and delivers the same if not more airflow, even at maximum RPM. The cable is slightly shorter than the gray Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700. I like that the 4 pin cable is short and I can use the splitter cable on the fans and turn the cables that come with Noctua fans into extension cables. I wish the fans came with splitters or extra extensions. Vibration pads work really well to keep the fan housing from rattling at high RPM and you have multiple colors to suit your taste. I may not use all of the colors on my current PC, but it's nice to have many spare parts that can be used on other Noctua fans such as the gray Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700.
