Review on πŸ”΄ Tronxy PLA 1KG Filament by Chris Hazzard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It takes some practice, but the prints are durable and have excellent finishes.

White PLA print 190-230C with Tronxy X5SBright White slightly transparent color, hard, snaps when bent, roundness isn't great, size 1.72-1.78mm in the same place but it's a constant average 1.75 in a large packaging heavy plastic bag and very dry. The adhesion of the printed layer is excellent over a wide range of print temperatures up to 190Β°C and then you print a skin tight coating which is great if that's what you want. Grip on the bed is satisfactory, I've had a lot of prints come loose as difficult prints curled up and hit the nozzle and sagging with burrs was hard to control and only low speed and cooling helped. The tension is unavoidable and very thin, you can pull the thread out of the grommet a few meters, but this characteristic results in excellent binding, filling and top layers. The thin, flat printed surface is durable and flexible. Overall this is a good solid thread at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Performance Advantage 2: Clean material and accurate diameter - avoid jams or paper jams when printing, make your print smooth and improve the finish.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
