I did not include the presence of active noise reduction in the list of positive aspects of headphones since, in this form factor, it does not work at all, which is contrary to what the majority of purchasers undoubtedly anticipate and can be a letdown for them. When turned on, you will not be engulfed in quiet, as the vast majority of sounds will still be audible to you. This is in contrast to active noise canceling vacuum headphones. Noise reduction helps a fair amount with monotonous low noise, such as that produced by a train or a vacuum cleaner; nonetheless, headphones, although having an open design, enable you to listen to music in the subway at a volume that is two thirds of the maximum volume without experiencing discomfort. In the absence of the noise reduction that is built in, you are need to turn up the volume all the way, and the hum will still be audible. In general, the thing is helpful; but, you should not anticipate miracles from it. In addition, in order to feel the benefit of noise suppression, you need to insert the headphones deeply into the ear canal. This entirely defeats the purpose of the open design, which is why it is not available. Please find attached a photo to serve as a point of comparison, as well as instructions on how to wear it "correctly" and how to wear it in order for the noise reduction to be effective. I am at a loss for words when it comes to the sound. It's not terrible, but the songs all sound like they've been heard before. My impression is that nothing remarkable occurred here; rather, the sound was designed with the goal in mind "to sound pleasant and not cause irritation." These headphones, like with any other type of TWS, are not something you should be looking into purchasing if you are an audiophile. If you want to avoid being dissatisfied with your purchase of these headphones, it is important to first understand why you are making this purchase. If the ability to wear headphones for an extended period of time while maintaining comfort and having an open design are at the top of your priority list, I believe it makes sense to invest in these. That is to say, the headphones are ideally suited for individuals who are seeking for a device that can be used in the workplace, while walking or cycling, as well as in the house. If your usage scenario is different β for instance, you use headphones primarily in the subway for an hour in the morning and another hour in the evening β then it is highly likely that these headphones are not for you. It's not that they can't handle the kind of use that you have in mind; it's just that there are other models available that are both cheaper and superior.
