Like many people use mineral oil for cutting boards etc, I used a piece of gauze and a bottle of FDA mineral oil. It's always been dirty. Oil on my hands, countertop and oil bottle. Well, not anymore. It's a cool thing, it reminds me of the old days of shoe polish in a bottle with a sponge at the end you just rub your shoes on. Same goes for chopping boards etc. There isn't a lot of clutter like it used to be. Easy to use and clean. Will this mineral oil last longer than others I've used? No, but the lack of clutter makes it worth every penny. I no longer put off oiling my cutting boards. It doesn't take much oil to cover the board. Bought empty.
