I bought these to "freshen up" the fuel economy when my truck got about 136,000 miles. These were the original oxygen sensors for my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. I was surprised because I thought it must have AC Delco O2 sensors. Not this case. They were identical to the ones I pulled from it. All in all it was a very simple switch. I crawled under the truck just behind the front wheels and found that all of the sensors were screwed into the exhaust pipes just above the catalytic converters. A 7/8" wrench loosened the old ones with a few turns and I was able to pull them out the rest of the way by hand. to get at it) and the other was next to the gearbox (a bit more difficult). Also, it's good to know that the ones I took were also Denso brands - they had 136,000 miles on them and they're still going. The engine gave no code and the sensors were still working. It was just that they were sluggish and a bit old and I decided it was time to replace them. So replacing them with identical ones is very convenient for me - as far as I'm concerned, I don't mind using them every 150,000 or so, especially if they pay off within 7 tanks of fuel. I would recommend it to anyone who drives a high mileage car and has found it not performing as well or not having the mileage they are used to. They may or may not solve the whole problem, but they* will prevent you from pouring too much fuel into your cat and clogging it, which is a much more complicated solution than that :)
