sandpaper? best in pouches, holsters and cases

I believe this does what it says on the tin and gives me a grippier surface to hold my iPhone with my very slippery case. The description says it's textured, but it doesn't say it looks like coarse sandpaper. I was expecting a soft rubber/silicone/sticky feel rather than a rough texture that digs into my skin. So if you want a good grip, you have to put pressure on it and let it dig in. With soft silicone material, you can just touch it gently and it will be sticky already. Hope to find more of this.
