Review on Asiahorse Matrix-Pink 56 Addressable RGB LEDs 360MM All-In-One Fan With MB Sync/Analog Controller For PC Case & Liquid Cooling System by Yung Rich

Beautiful fans, worrying problems

I got these fans on April 22nd 2021. to put in my new computer case and they look incredible. I also greatly appreciate that Asiahorse has done away with the need for a separate controller and the fans/LEDs can plug directly into a 5V ARGB header on your motherboard and the fans themselves are on separate 4pin PWM.That being said, they do include a SATA powered ARGB controller in the box but I recommend STRONGLY that you DO NOT USE this. Out of curiosity, I hooked mine up to the controller to see what settings it might have. When I hooked it up NOTHING happened. The lights didn't turn on. I went to check the connection and the cables themself to make sure I plugged everything in correctly and the control box and wires had heated up so much that it was uncomfortable to handle the wires anymore.Plugging the ARGB cable directly into my motherboard seemed to work perfectly fine.Everything worked flawlessly for the first couple days that I've had these hooked up. However on the day of writing this review (April 25th) the LEDs lit up for about a second before cutting out and wouldn't turn back on for a couple hours before randomly turning back on. Considering I've only been using these for 3 days now is very worrying, especially the fact that had I not checked on the wiring for the included control box, I probably would have set my computer on fire.Edit:Changing to a 1 star review because of the potential fire hazard. In addition to that, the LEDs on the fan just work at random.

Pros
  • The fan is quiet enough to use in an office or studio, without disturbing other people in the room
Cons
  • The fan may not be as effective at reducing heat buildup in the PC
