Received a pair of JBL 305P MKII's yesterday (great monitors on sale now btw) and hooked them up to my Yamaha mixer about 2 hours ago. To my surprise, the volume of the left speaker rose and fell on its own from time to time. I tried it one at a time, switched line outputs, etc., and finally swapped cables. Long story short, this Hosa TRS jack is slightly smaller than the JBL jack, which is quite closely mated to another (proprietary) cable. This hosa was MOVE when the speaker rumbled. Luckily I got a different (brand) cable today and now both monitors sound good. I have another faulty HOSA product, a TRS splitter. I think I'm done with HOSA. Folks, this cable thing isn't high tech, so if you want to compete and be successful as a "different brand," you've got to get it right.
