It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It covers my 5 gallon Fluval Chi tank perfectly! The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 is because I don't have enough room for a water heater. This is a square hole on one side for the black part of the filter design that snaps onto the glass. And because the water level has to be high, my kettle is above the glass level so I can't use the lid like it should. Luckily my Betta isn't a jumper so I don't have a problem. The lid arrived in perfect condition, it's a nice matte acrylic material that sticks well to the edges of the aquarium and is easy to remove. If you don't need a water heater, I recommend this product to anyone with jumpers or suicide fishing. If you need a water heater and need a cover, I would advise getting an immersion heater that can go completely submerged. so the lid can close.
