Review on 🔧 Dorman 76871 Head Lamp Knob: A Reliable Replacement for Enhanced Control by Juan Huerta

The ability to easily remove the knob from the shaft is paramount to proper use . When the handle cannot be removed, it effectively prevents the removal of the dashboard cover panel, access to the switch and a variety of other under-dash items. Inside the handle is a clip that should release the stock by squeezing the clip to release a small edge. Luckily I decided to test this latch before installing the handle. It didn't work, and even after breaking the grip all the way to the stock and bending the stock off the stock, the stock still wouldn't disengage from the stock. I had to flex the stock until it nearly broke and pull/wiggle until the grip was free from the stock. Glad I found this out early as such an operation with the dashboard trim installed would likely have damaged the trim.
