I needed a variety of hole sizes and the ability to round out the top of the hole but I didn't want to spend a fortune on high quality bits that I may only use a few times. This set allowed me to do everything I needed to do! The variety of tools in the kit is great! All the different bits worked great except for the open four fingered plug cutters. If you look at the photos closely you can see they are sharpened unevenly at the tips and there is a ridge on the inside of the tips so they do not cut cleanly or easily. I really liked the closed end plug cutters.very sharp and easy to use! One of my favorite tools is the spring punch tool which so far has worked really well! I would recommend this kit for occasional use but not for daily use.
