Review on Brown Leather Carhartt Men's Accessories: Legacy Belts for Men by Muharik Khalifa

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Second purchase of this belt and now I'm disappointed

I bought this belt five years ago because it was cheap and was all leather, not glued or sewn around a cardboard core. This belt has served me for five years. It was a great belt. I wore it every day, all day, to hard work and quirky social events, and it was durable and good looking. Eventually, the latches holding the belt buckle began to fall out of their adjustments, so I kept them in reserve and decided it was time to buy another one. I went to my purchase history here on Revain and clicked "Order New". Sadly I have to say that although I bought the exact same style and size from the same catalogue, this is not the belt that has lasted me for five years. First, it's smaller. It still fits, but instead of being on the fourth hole to cover me, it's the first (in other words, they use less leather for the same size). The buckles are sewn on, not latched. That would be nice as the buttons started with my last belt but the sewing is a series of fine stitches. I feel like it's going down a lot quicker. Finally the skin. The leather on my last belt was quite thick and you could tell it was leather. That belt? Slim. In fact, when I took it out, I first thought it was vinyl masquerading as leather. Overall I think the belt will do a good job and the price is certainly still reasonable, but Carhartt has definitely started skimping on their products in recent years to save money and I have a feeling it probably will on is when this belt is off its way. less time than last time, i will look elsewhere.
