I followed the instructions and connected the power supply as close to the radio as possible. I still had the alternator whistle, which got me thinking. The speaker/RCA jacks are outside of the main unit so I have clean power for the radio but noisy power right where the RCA jacks are. have clean current between the original plug and any aftermarket plugs between it and the radio. Engine started, radio on and. REMAIN SILENT! :) I only swapped the head unit, everything else is stock. If you have this and it doesn't work, check where your speaker outputs are and where your power supply is. The power needs to be "clean" around the speaker jacks, not just at the radio. If you have changed the entire system (speakers, cables and/or amplifier), try this filter first. Some diagnostics will likely be required (Maybe clean power required on both main unit and amplifier wires//shielding required etc.). It's not a "plug and play" magic bullet. So if that's what you're expecting, stick with the original OEM.
