This casting material works very well. It has a pleasantly flowing texture. Sometimes it switches to darker colors - my black metallics often look like dark blue metallics, but otherwise all the other colors look great (it doesn't affect white in my experience). For a beginner, this is a great tool to experiment with price. The only downside is that it's sticky after drying. I have to let them dry on bottles and cans so they don't stick to my desk. Also, you cannot fold them for storage as any pressure will cause the paint to stick together. However, I've found that a few coats of acrylic sealer works wonders to seal in the stickiness. If you use too high a coating medium to color ratio it can dry shrink and warp even on cheaper card stock canvases.
