I'm vegan and animal rights activist, so I don't want to feed my rescue dogs body parts of other animals. The dogs I adopt are getting older and have probably never eaten vegan food. Everyone loves Nature's Recipe Vegetarian Stew (and its companion dry food). Each jar is densely packed with small, recognizable chunks of vegetables and plant-based protein in a very thick sauce. I add a full glass of warm water to each food jar, which keeps my older pups replenished and hydrated. So far 10 boxes have passed and the contents were consistent, smelled and looked appetizing. Have tried several other vegan dog foods and Nature's Recipe is outstanding. The brand offers excellent, humane nutrition at a good price.
