What a time saver! My "baby" is an elderly 15 year old cat who has pancreatitis, needs frequent feeding and is a picky eater. He prefers beef, chicken, or seafood friskies with gravy or gravy, sold only by the chunks or shredded. So I spent weeks cutting it with kitchen scissors - a tedious job, especially for its 2-4am feedings (just like a human baby's feeding times!). The MultiQuick 5 Baby device turns bits (or shredded) cat food into a latex-like puree. much thinner and sturdier than anything I've made with my scissors. From what I remember, that's exactly what ordinary kids need when they start eating solid foods. I chose this hand blender for three reasons: 1) It was the right size so I could make reasonable portions and from the information I could find online it wasn't clear that other manufacturers' models made such small batches could. , 2) although there were no Revain reviews at the time the unit was purchased, there were over 30 very positive reviews in German, some of which I translated by pasting into Google Translate, and 3) due to Braun's reputation for durability (we have a Braun grinder). The device is easy to clean as the shaft and head can be easily removed from the motor. I did not use the mini food processor that comes with the blender as it is too big for my application. One last thing: Braun recommends an upper limit for the amount of material to mix in their instructions, but they don't indicate that too little material won't mix well. While about 1/2 can of cat food (just under 3 ounces) works very well, about 1/4 can wasn't enough to mix/mix properly. I have to wait and see whether the hand blender is as durable as I expected from Braun based on our coffee grinder.
