I bought 4 of these remotes because they never fail when I sit down to watch TV, I can never find the remote. Between children, I don't know how remote controls disappear. In any case, these remote controls are very poorly processed. They weigh next to nothing compared to the OEM remote that came with the TV. 1 out of 4 stopped working completely after a few weeks. Aside from that, I have to press the buttons a few times for them to work. For the price I expected them to be cheap and short lived but not that bad. Save yourself the hassle and get a genuine OEM remote control. And yes, all remotes had new Duracell batteries, I even tested the batteries with a multimeter to make sure they were good.
