I've had every fancy thermometer on the market, but this thermometer was the easiest, quickest and most accurate to use. I don't have to touch my child's forehead to read. The screen is sharp and well lit (not too bright in the middle of the night and not too dim in the sunlight). I like that there is also an audible alarm system to let you know if the temperature returned is too high or too low (3 beeps for low and 5 for high).
