After slipping on our downhill road many times this winter I finally got it on a friend's recommendation ordered, who has micro-thorns and swears by them. Given that I spend most of my time on the pavement, the Nanospike made more sense. You save lives. I can walk up and down the driveway and start the snowplow anywhere, even when it's completely covered in ice, and never feel the slightest bit of slippage. They're usually easy to put on and take off and only take a minute or two, even if you're in the car. They feel a bit cramped. They are the right size but I think they are designed for running shoes and I wear thicker walking shoes but they are not uncomfortable. It should be noted that while they are good on ice and thin slush, they don't work very well in deep snow (at which point the lugs can't cut through the pavement for traction).
