Review on 9000 Lumens XHP70 Rechargeable LED Flashlight - Zoomable, Waterproof & Handheld For Camping/Emergency By KEPEAK by Jose Isaacs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good light and very bright, but like so many others - why lie about the lumen output?

Gosh I really want to like this light. and I do. It's a bright light. It's a beast, to be honest for a couple of reasons.First off, it's got a massive light output. It tops out at about 2000 Lumens. Far short of it's claimed 9000 Lumens, so I docked it a star because of the blatant brightness lie. I would have given it 5 stars if they were more realistic in their claims. This is, by far, the brightest Chinese Best Buy Special light I have tested so far. I suspect this is related to its next feature that I am very pleased with, and that's the capacity of the battery. It has an absolutely massive 4500 mAh 26650 battery. It has a claimed capacity of 5000 mAh and 4500ish is close enough. It's refreshing to have a battery that has its rated capacity, as so many times I get batteries from these types of flashlights with large capacity claims and they are lightweights in actual capacity. Not this battery. it has a usable capacity of 4500mAh before it conks out, awesome! It's got a fairly wide unzoomed throw. Not the widest I've seen, but that's not a problem as I think the throw is about where you'd want it. The zoom, like so many of these multi-LED chip lights, are totally visible when fully zoomed, making the full zoom a little questionable. not a huge deal and I didn't knock any points off for that, but I wish they'd limit the zoom before it ends up showing the split between the chips.I'd have given this flashlight 5-stars, easy, if it had realistic claims on it's capabilities, and there was no reason to lie about it's output. It's already got a massive 2000 Lumens output.

Pros
  • Very nice to carry, very bright and goes a long distance
Cons
  • The packaging can be difficult to open, particularly for those with limited hand dexterity
