Basic Diaper with Eco-Friendly Benefits

I've been using Hello Bello diapers and they are pretty good, but we've been looking at other diaper brands that are good for baby and the environment. I've seen Dypers being advertised on social marketing and really wanted to give them a try.First impression is that I love that there is no plastic in the packaging. The diapers are wrapped in this substantial/thick paper wrapping. They are fluffy and look very comfortable. The stretchy ridge along the side that holds all the grossness in seems to be more substantial. They have added flaps where the band attaches so they should fit a wide range of babies for a longer period of time - which is great when you have a baby between sizes. I think we left our kid in Newborn size diapers for a week too long. We didn't want to waste the diapers - but It was self-punishment.My son doesn't really comment or react differently to the diapers so I assume he's good with either brand. He tends to have blow-outs at least once every other day - if not daily. I will say that the dyper kept one of the blow-outs in all the way, but he got the best of them the second time around. With the other brand, we assume we know that we should just start undressing him the second he needs to be changed. There are no cute decor to the diapers, they are plain white. I kinda like the cute designs, but whatever, white matches everything. The last and most noticeable observation is.the price. These are almost twice as expensive as our other "responsibly sourced" brand. I love feeling good about the environment on the manufacturing side, however, these are all ending up in the landfill and I'm not sure if there is data that shows these decompose faster or better than other diapers. Our other brand will be manufacturing in the USA (or just started to.), so maybe they will be similarly priced soon, but for right now - it's hard to make the leap from .26 to .44 per diaper. I feel terrible saying that because I really love supporting earth-friendly "feel good & put your money where your values are" companies. In summary: These diapers offer an improvement in design - and possibly function. They are recognized for their earth friendly manufacturing and materials. The diapers feel quality, not like they will disintegrate in your hands or on their booties. The only hesitation is the price. If you got the bucks, go for it!Hope this review helps!
