When ordering I was concerned about some of the reviews. But after a few months I'm still completely satisfied. Sometimes I go outside before the sun comes up and I need a clean shield. After sunrise I had to stop and change shields or fight the blazing sun. Other times I stay home after sundown and have to stop and go from smoked to clear. No longer! While it's an expensive shield, I don't think it's worth worrying about limited visibility and stopping to switch shields. Also, my shield still works perfectly. The instructions warn against storing it if the temperature fluctuates, and I keep my helmet at home. For those who say it didn't get dark anymore, I suspect it wasn't stored properly. Mine gets pretty dark and clears up again with no problem. The only "problem" I can mention is that it starts to get dark when there is very little light. I haven't found a problem with this, but if you look into the lens with the helmet off, it's noticeable. Not enough issues to deduct a full star though. Not a single scratch so far. I only use a soft cloth to clean the visor and never wipe dry. Vindex is not recommended. I use plain water and if the bug stains are bad I place a damp paper towel on the visor for a few minutes to soften them before attempting to clean the visor. This simple procedure will greatly extend the life of any visor. Highly recommended!
