I wish I had bought this 6 months ago

This kitchen burner is really hard to fault. My only complaint right now is that I didn't purchase it sooner. I am an enthusiastic amateur cook and am gradually adding to my culinary collection. For the last 12 months I have been involved with bakery and confectionery which require the use of a cooking torch for some dishes such as crème brûlée. It's a real shame not to be able to just because you were too cheap to buy a damn cooking burner. I bought an Anova precision sous vide cooker last November and found it easy to learn how to cook wonderful dishes with it. However, there is still a gap. You can fully cook meat and vegetables with an immersion cooker, however there is a browning step at the end. Without a culinary torch, there's still a gap between what a trendy $150 steak restaurant can do for you and what you can do for yourself at home for $15. Just frying in a pan doesn't get you very far, and I found that out quickly. There's an element of crispiness you can achieve with a good burner like this, with a depth of colour, flavor and texture imparted to the meat that is clearly unattainable by just being stuck with a griddle. I would say another benefit is that you don't have to fry pans at such a high temperature. A burner allows you to sear the meat over medium-high heat for a firmer crust with more variety in texture, while using the burner's flame to brown the meat on all sides. The result is something even the hippest steakhouses can't match. For Valentine's Day, New Year's Day, Anniversary or other special occasion, imagine buying USDA Prime Tomahawk Steak and Lobster Tail and then having dinner at home with wine or champagne. Some of the savings can be used toward flowers, jewelry, or other gifts to make her feel special. The main course costs literally a fifth of what you would pay in a fancy restaurant and the result of the meal is undoubtedly better. break and get a good kitchen torch. I've used this thing to finish a pork loin three times in the last three days and it's the best pork I've ever tasted. It's really worth the meager $20 they charge and it's easy to maintain and use. Instructions for use fit on half a postcard, and if you're still in doubt, just watch a YouTube video on how to use cooking torches. Whenever you need butane, just go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and get any standard can for $5. I jokingly went broke trying to fund a video game company on a tiny income, but I was still able to save enough money to eat well. You don't have to spend $50 or $100 to solve all your culinary problems. It really only costs you $20. I am a happy customer and these guys deserve their 5 star rating.
