Large fuel control valve, no annoying buttons to press. The thing gets hot, you can even feel warm on the back, and there's even heat protection for your fingers. As with all butane gas torches, do not use inferior butane gas if you want to ensure you have enough for multiple refills.

Depending on where you live, refilling and refilling this flashlight (e.g. refillable lighters) may not take very long lasts. Torch or lighter in freezer one hour before filling with butane. Room temperature gas will fill a cold torch or lighter to its maximum capacity. Simple science, no magic!

I have a problem with the one that was sent to me but when I was contacted within a day of my complaint I had a solution to my problem with a new one on the way . I would say it's excellent customer service. They believe the problem with the lighting is due to the flint moving during transport. I can turn it on with extra clicks - and once I've used it, I LOVE it! It's lightweight and serves its purpose perfectly. I look forward to using this in my art projects for years to come!

Bought to caramelize sugar on crème brûlée. For my first serving of my second batch of crème brûlée, that's 5 FIVE small servings, 6 oz. The gas valve stopped closing, speaking of a safety hazard. After closing the valve nothing came out. And after the flames were extinguished, the gas could still be heard escaping. In short, do not buy this item.
