Works well. Efficiency 60%. Heavy, durable, well built. Box, Block and Advertising 12A DC, 14A Surge. However, if you look at the user manual, you will see that the thing switches itself off after 15 minutes if it is continuously operated at rated load. It doesn't run continuously at 90% or even 80% (causing it to shut down after 25 minutes). After turning it off, it should be back to normal "in about 15-30 minutes". The manual states that it is "designed for continuous operation at 70% of rated load". So 70% of 12 amps is 8.4 amps, which is something to claim for this device. There seems to be a small problem in pyrimide with the definition of "permanent" and "continuous". In pyrimide, "continuous" really means 15 minutes or less. who knew So keep in mind that this is an 8.4 amp continuous power supply, a far cry from the advertised 12 amps. The true reviews are sealed in the box, in the manual 3/4 page down. Fake claims are pasted all over the box. Since this star rating is consistently listed on Revain, I've given them 70% 5 stars or 3.5 stars (rounded down to no more than 70%). David Update, 16 months later. This power supply failed horribly. The device began to issue error messages. The measured voltage at the output of the power pack was 17.8V yesterday. This is an expensive astronomical camera, around $5,000. The camera manual states that voltages above 16V can damage the camera and void the warranty. The camera is fine. I've been lucky. I had no idea a power supply could do that. It was fed at AV rated UPS power and sinusoidal output, no spikes, no surges, just pure, clean, perfect power. So I risked my $5,000 camera by buying a $60 power supply from a company that I knew was dishonest in their power claims. It was so stupid of me. David
