These hooks were bought primarily for hanging curtains at a relatively cheap price until good curtain rods appeared. I followed the directions and waited at least an hour before installing the [ikea] blackout curtains, which weigh about 2 pounds per panel. A month+ has passed, so far everything is good, nobody fell off the wall. Also, Macguyver recently turned 3 rolls of cardboard (17.7" vinyl) into a temporary curtain rod for lighter weight mesh curtains. Haven't tried taking it off yet so not sure if it will come off cleanly and remove the color. Recommended for those with similar projects or for those who don't want to drill into walls or furniture.
