I've been dabbling in making face masks lately and can't bring myself to use pins on them. Before I got these clips, I used flexible metal bobby pins or binding clips to hold the pieces together while I sewed them. It worked, but there were problems with the sewing machine a few times. I wanted something to sew and looked at a craft store but they wanted $40 for a pack of the same 20 smart clips. It's true that the expensive ones don't need to be removed to get through the machine, but these clips do need to be removed when sewing. But this feature is of limited value as smart clips are quite thick on their own and need to be clipped in accurately so they don't get in the way of the presser foot on something small and curved like a face mask. So, these clips really are great value for money. They stay in place and hold the pieces of fabric together where I need to hold them together. They aren't difficult to remove when I need to take them off and only one of the clips I received broke trying to use it. The rest worked fine. The box they come in is a big plus as I didn't have anything to put them in; and it sits next to my car and i can just toss the clips in the box when i take them out so they don't get lost. I would definitely buy again.
