Review on Panasonic SL MP80 CD MP3 Player by Prem Reyel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good - portable audio and video

*The first thing I should note is that the only difference between this player and the MP70 is that the 80's can play WMA files. If you don't need this function, DO NOT buy this player. The MP70 is about $10 cheaper. Now for the review itself: At first glance, the player looks quite appealing, if a bit unwieldy. When it launched, it took about 10 seconds to load the CD and start playing. The sound quality was quite excellent, especially if you like listening to bass-heavy music such as rap, R+B, alternative rock, etc.; The Bass EQ mode takes care of that. The battery life is actually as advertised. I still didn't listen to the CD player until the batteries died and I use the CD player quite a bit. The only thing missing from the player is an inadequate navigation system. To skip to track 100, you have to press the Skip button 99 times. Although this problem can be somewhat solved by placing songs in specific albums, Panasonic could definitely improve on this aspect of the player. Then it really would be for the best. Overall, the ML-70/80 offers by far the best value for money. Its affordable price, great functionality and aesthetic design will provide countless hours of entertainment.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • The list will go on.
