So weird I tested this with cool liquids first and it works great, absorbs lots of liquid with no problems. However, when I tried the juices from something baked, it had trouble absorbing the liquid, getting very little or none. My only conclusion is that the material doesn't work well with hot to very hot baking liquids due to the heating and softening of the suction bulb (too much air getting in around the metal tube). I need to find something better designed. It is very easy to clean for which I give 3 stars.
