I deliberated for a considerable amount of time before settling on the Canon SX20. There are a few issues with the device, and although we are still at war in certain instances (moving objects), I am extremely pleased with it. With its positives being: It has an excellent color rendering, a rotary screen, it is easy to handle, it has a good macro, and it gives good shots even at the greatest zoom. In addition, it has all of these other features. Having this drawback: Does not display the current charge of the battery (I always carry a replacement pair of batteries with me); I could not find the cap.
