At first the printer didn't want to take the cartridge, so I did the same thing and kept putting it in, pulling it out, putting it in again - rinsing it again - and finally work started! Hooray! But unbeknownst to me it sprayed cyan toner all over the inside of the bay and now the entire printer has been shot through. Error codes, tried cleaning did not help. Now I have a broken printer and 3/4 unified toners that I paid for but won't (not) use. Waste $$$!
