This is the worst mug ever. With three children I have drunk about 10,000 cups in the last 8 years. I try to avoid hand wash only options, but they inevitably slip away. I have a "hand wash" cycle in my dishwasher and have always used it on my hand wash cups with no problems. This mug literally melted on the first wash on this ultra low heat cycle. I have a feeling what it's made of is probably totally unfit for eating if it can decompose at 90 degrees. I live in Texas and even if I hadn't washed it in the dishwasher it would undoubtedly have melted the first time my daughter took it outside to play. waste of money.
