Review on OLOy DDR4 RAM 16GB (2X8GB) 3600 MHz CL18 1 by Bryan White

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Although I was hoping to get it working with my X570 AORUS MASTER, I almost did!

A very nice price for a good RAM if you ask me and all similar lower frequency RAMs are much more expensive. So I figured - since it's advertised as AMD, I'll try it with my X570 AORUS MASTER motherboard, which isn't cheap at all, and I figured it should be compatible with such a long time (as well as many BIOS updates , also for XMP profiles). I almost got lucky with this - since it's about $30-$50 cheaper overall with the next built-in 3600mhz RAM that most likely works with my motherboard, I was still able to get it to work, but ONLY with 3 sticks . , I couldn't get it to work with all 4 sticks installed - the frequency dropped to the default of 2400MHz (or something like that) which is unacceptable for me as I wanted at least 3000+ - my previous RAM was 3200MHz, so hub up to 3600MHz is very nice! However, I'm glad I was able to run the p-position (a special combination of two sticks that were in the next center position along with another stick) at 3600MHz in a loaded OS! And that's very good for me as I get upgrades in both capacity and frequency: from 3200 to 3600 MHz and from 32GB to 48GB. I also have a spare joystick (in case one of the sticks is burnt or broken or an update comes out that makes it work with all 4!). Again, I would give 5 stars if I could. work, but I absolutely love how this RAM works. Just a bit of a hassle to install - quite thick and difficult to work with, but you don't do it often. Once you install it, you don't care because you don't have to move it back and forth. PS: I did not thoroughly test the RAM, but in general the RAM works stably, I did not notice any problems with them, there are no lags, etc. Everything is clean so far, even after launching and playing the game a couple of times ( which btw sometimes crashed on my previous Vyper 3200MHz RAM - it wasn't ultra stable but in a consistently acceptable way (OS hardware failure was pretty rare).

Pros
  • RAM
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
