One of my least favorite cat-keeping chores is routinely emptying, washing and refilling the litter box, which should be done at least once a month. I have three trays so this can take a long time. I was afraid that the disposable cup would be too thin or that urine would seep through it, but that's not the case. In fact, one of my cats sits with all four paws on the edge of a box, sticks its butt over the side and pisses in a corner. I never saw it get wet, not a single edge snapped or buckled under its full weight. When it's time to replace the filler, I just toss everything in a garbage bag. No more throwing out the trash while holding your breath or breaking your back washing them in the tub. One thing I want to point out is that even with jumbo drawers, the walls aren't very tall. One of my cats throws trash so I put it in a large cardboard box and cut off the side for the cats to get in. So the spatula ends up in the box and not in my carpets.
