The technology here is probably early Mesopotamian but why do kitchen soldiers need much more. The instructions are in Chinese, but all you have to do is remove the black rubber "dampers" under the pans, remove the plastic "straw" protecting the "handle" and balance it by You (included) 5 gr. weight on the left pan and then move the slider to 5 gr. on the front. Or put an object of the same weight in each pan. If the balance is not accurate, adjust the screw and nut (left or right) protruding from under each cymbal. This manual scale helps me in winter when digital scales "fly" in the cold.
