Review on EBL 8-Pack Rechargeable Lithium AA Batteries With Smart Charger - Long-Lasting 1.5V AA Li-Ion Batteries by Chris Benton

Complete and Total Crap!

No photo or video because I was so irritated I through charger and bull*hit batteries in the garbage and that was too good a disposal for them. I purchased these for use in our Blink Security Cameras. They require 1.5v AA's. So you either go with beefed up Akalines or as I prefer to do go Lithium because they're leaps and bounds better. What better way than rare 1.5v Lithium Rechargeables was my thought. Let me say I'm a Flashaholic and build/modify flashlights for recreation. I own many, many bateries of varying type and size. Many. I also own very quality chargers and specialty chargers. This is how I arrived at tearing apart one of these AA's to find out its not a lithium battery. They were going dead way too fast. I contacted EBL. They gave me the run around. Said to only use their charger and swore to me they were legit. Well their charger is crap too. The voltage when measured was whacky. Mostly at a full charge they were 1.3v with about 550mah in each. They're knockoffs. Happens a lot with lithiums. In this case Regular Akalines were rewrapped to look legit. When I contacted EBL again, for the 3rd time, and said I took one apart and am sure its not lithium they said they'd get back to me. Didn't ask for pictures or anything. My guess is because they are aware and didn't expect someone to tear one apart. They never responded and have ignored every attempt I've made at contacting them, which is MANY. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Smart charger ensures proper charging and prolongs battery life
Cons
  • The batteries may not be as efficient as other types of rechargeable batteries
