Sounds like a brilliant idea. Exactly, until you start chopping green onions and see something fall onto the cutting board. Why? Because they're trapped between the blades. There's this little knick-knack at the end of the grip cap that seems designed to push out whatever sticks out. It doesn't fit all blades properly, so you'll have to do this twice, once on each "side" to get all the bulbs out. I tried chopping a bit more so the new scallion would repel the previously chopped scallion. There are no dice. Now I chopped spring onions. hard pass. The only reason it gets stars is because it's pretty well made (albeit poorly designed) and great for rosemary. Just not the softer herbs.
