It's a bit pricey for what it is but it's a great light and the 360 degree motion detection works great and is actually overly sensitive. We use it in the garage to recognize us when we drive in and out or when a car pulls up to turn the lights on and off. It will NOT light up your entire 2 car garage and I wasn't expecting it, but there is enough light to see and the motion detection works great. It turns on about 4ft from the door, so it detects our presence 3 to 5ft before we get to the door - of course it turns on just when we approach the garage door or windows. I would have preferred to constantly recognize myself and be overly sensitive rather than underperforming. EDIT 11/16/18: This light still works great and we are very happy with it. It works in freezing temperatures, 120+ in the garage etc. We found it to be definitely value for money and would highly recommend it for the garage, basement etc the entire 2 car garage but it's not a bright light but enough to see the garage and do what you need to do. It turns on when a person steps 3-5 feet from the garage, so the light comes on when you open the door. It also recognizes a person walking past the garage window – an additional security for us. We love this lamp and would buy it again, it's worth it. I'm happy to pay more for a quality product, it's worth it.
