I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

I bought the camera in mid-March.
Since autumn, I have been choosing an excellent SLR.
At first, my choice was the Sony A450, but it's just nowhere to be found) Many advised Nikon, I decided to take the D3000 first, but then I found out about the D3100, which turned out to be much better, I took it and I almost don't regret it)
The camera is just great, I shoot most often in the "S" mode, changing the shutter speed, because. automatic modes are stupid, white balance misses.
The guide did not use the mode, because. I'm not new to DSLRs, I used to shoot on the Sony A200.
The battery lasts for a couple of days of full use.
