I am currently keeping my VW Beetle which has a leaking convertible top. I just wanted a cheap case that was reasonably waterproof until I could replace the top. A lot of car covers I've seen are over $70 so I was a bit skeptical but figured it would work temporarily. And it worked. VERY temporary. Shortly after I put it on, a strong summer wind broke the straps from the case, severely damaging the case itself. The buckles were still closed, but the straps were no longer fully attached to the case, and the case was torn about 12 inches along the seam. From there I decided to try and weigh down the cover (because my car is small there is extra fabric in the front and back, a luxury the larger car owner can't afford). Since then, the cover has cracked even more. Wherever and however you try to attach it, the lid breaks because the plastic is very weak. ALSO, the inside of the cover is made of soft fluffy material (similar to one of those cheap disposable plastic tablecloths with an ugly seasonal design at Walmart) so any fluff sticks to the car, especially the convertible top. This thing is basically just one of those crappy plastic tablecloths. I guess I should have done some research - that's what I get for the cheap price. IF YOU NEED TO PROTECT AN OUTDOOR VEHICLE, DO NOT BUY THIS.
