These LED headlights are a definite improvement over the stock halogen headlights

installed on my Toyota Tacoma. Pros: I have a hard time judging how much brighter these LED headlights are compared to standard halogen bulbs. However, LEDs give off a cleaner and whiter light. In my attached photos, the left headlight is standard halogen and the right headlight is LED. The halogen has a yellowish tint that seems to drown out the detail of any object in front of it. In comparison, the LED is clean, bright and white, and details are much sharper. The difference is clearly noticeable when driving at night: the LEDs are much clearer and therefore easier to see. Not Good: The instructions that came with it were for a different model number LED headlight that had a different installation method. There was no information at all as it was related to my particular setup. Hope my experience helps others. On my Tacoma, after turning off the stock headlight, you need to remove the rubber boot that fits over the back of the stock halogen bulb. The rubber boot is designed to prevent dirt and moisture from getting into the headlight housing and onto the bulbs. This is where the big problems began. The rubber boot does not fit over the back of the much larger LED lamp. I had to find out for myself (it was not mentioned anywhere in the instructions) that it was possible to remove the mount (a ring with three protrusions in the photo). You remove the clip by twisting it to unlock and then removing it. First I attached the mount and then the rubber boot. I then inserted (push and twist) the LED through the rubber boot into the mount. All of this took a lot of effort and time, much more than the 10 minutes quoted for installation. Without this rubber boot, the installation would have been completed within 10 minutes. Also, the instructions don't specify what to do with the double-sided tape and plastic ties that came with the kit. The H4/9003 has LED drivers that look like miniature inverters. Double sided tape is needed to secure the LED drivers so they don't hang around and strain the wires. Plastic cable ties can be used to secure loose or excess wire. A few final thoughts: Make it easy for yourself by searching YouTube for videos related to your particular vehicle. I have chosen not to shoot stars for incorrect instructions as I am not familiar with any headlights, LED or other that have vehicle specific instructions. These LED headlights come with a one year warranty so I can be sure they will last. The bottom line for me is that despite the issues with my setup, these LED headlights are a significant upgrade and well worth it.
