I have dried 6 batches of clothes, light blankets, etc. since installation and have had no problem airing this indoor dryer. It works great and is very easy to maintain. Depending on what I'm drying, I don't always empty the water pan; However, I check it every time to see how much fluff it has. I open the vent to check the blue filter and the steel filter behind it and if everything is ok I leave it. My partner installed the ventilation in no time. We removed all the old ducts and bought new ones from Menards as I wanted to start fresh with both the ventilation and the ducts. The heat coming out of the flue is naturally warm and does a good job of heating the basement with the right humidity level. I do my laundry a few times a week so it doesn't accumulate, which is good with this vent as it lets out a lot of warm air and some moisture. I think if you had a lot of downloads at once you might need to open a window depending on the size of the area you have. So far so good with this interior dryer. We love it.
