I like the small size of this small desk and UTEX house. It's perfect for our kindergarten kids to draw and do their homework and keep their pens and materials in order. The height also prevents children (18 months) from reaching objects in the cage. The quality is quite good, with a combination of solid wood (pine I think) and MDF. I'm not a fan of MDF at all, so it's nice that I can't tell which parts are MDF. The horizontal parts of the table seem solid judging by the texture I see in the drilled holes. The chair is made of real solid wood. However, the manufacturer could do a lot more to improve the packaging. It is very harmful to the environment and comes with numerous styrofoam pieces. That's a huge waste. Cardboard could be used, like at IKEA.
